Over the past few weeks, I’ve been pursuing my goals and it’s been fascinating to delve deeper into the neurodivergent brain, its functions, and the incredible potential it holds. Speaking of potential.
One of my favorite motivational speakers is Mel Robbins. Recently, I have listened to a few highly empowering podcast episodes. One episode, in general, brought me to my newest family project: Vision Boards.
In the last month, my family and I started a manifestation project with our kids by creating vision boards. It was a wonderful bonding experience. The kids mainly focused on the food, toys, and a trip to see Super Mario one day, and their excitement for the future was palpable. Going through magazines and thinking about our future together felt empowering. It helped me gain a deeper understanding of my kids’ needs and allowed me to spend quality time with them. Interestingly, in the following weeks, the things on our vision boards started coming true. The kids even mentioned the items on their boards and what they needed from time to time.
I believe that even at the ages of 5 and 7, encouraging them to set goals and supporting them in reaching those goals is a valuable lesson.
